[knoppix:3935] knoppix _v3.4_20040517-20040820版起動不可について（質問）

榎木と申します．

# knoppix初心者です．

knoppix _v3.4_20040517-20040820版をインストール(install2win)後
起動し，bootメニューで"GNU GRUB for KNOPPIX"を選択したのですが，
次のようにgrubで止まってしまいます．

 GRUB version 0.93n (639K lower / 392128K upper memory)

 [ Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. For the first word,
  TAB lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists
  the possible completions of a devise/filename. ]

 grub>

windowsデフラグにより影響かと思いsetup.exeも何度か実行しましたが
同じ状況です．
環境など何か特殊な条件によるものでしょうか？
# 他のWindowsXPマシンには同じ手順で正常に起動できますのでPC特有かと...
